Polyamide fibers (nylon) are high-strength textile fibers obtained from products of coal and petroleum processing.
Properties
- providing high wear resistance while maintaining exceptional yarn lightness: polyamide fibers are 4.5 times stronger than polyester fibers and have high abrasion resistance;
- dimensional stability and low tendency to crease of fabrics;
- water repellency: small liquid stains (excluding oily ones) can be removed from the surface of polyamide fabric with a damp cloth;
- easy care: fabrics made from polyamide fibers dry quickly after washing and do not shrink;
- high dyeability: fabrics with polyamide fibers can have bright, saturated colors;
- resistance to many chemicals.
Applications
Polyamide fibers are widely used in hosiery production, as well as in the manufacture of products for which strength is critically important: ropes, fishing nets, conveyor belts, etc. Fabrics with polyamide fibers enhance the strength characteristics of products from Vostok-Service's flagship collections: MONBLANC, JETSET, PETROLEUM ― and are also used as reinforcing overlays (for example, in the URAN collection).
