Environmental protection is one of the key focus areas of Vostok-Service Group. Our company employs people who understand the importance of a responsible attitude to nature and actively participate in environmental programs, including the collection of batteries for recycling.
A battery is one of the most hazardous household wastes, as cells contain nickel, lithium, manganese, lead, cadmium, mercury and other harmful substances. At normal temperature and humidity batteries are safe, but in a landfill under the influence of moisture and ultraviolet light they break down and their contents leak out.
A single AA battery can contaminate about 20 м2 of soil and 400 л of water. To avoid harming the environment, simply hand in batteries at dedicated collection points.
In the offices, stores and factories of Vostok-Service Group there are special transparent boxes for used batteries to be sent for recycling. Many employees collect batteries not only at work but also at home, because they understand the importance of proper disposal.
In 2022 we collected more than 150 кг of batteries through our combined efforts, which were handed in to dedicated collection points.
