Environmental initiative: employees of our branches and factories plant trees
Caring for the environment is one of the priorities of the Vostok-Service Group. Every year we run an environmental tree-planting campaign in the cities where the company operates.
Thanks to the efforts of our employees, the streets of Russian cities become more beautiful and greener, creating more shaded areas that are pleasant to shelter in during hot weather. Planting trees and shrubs has a positive effect on urban biodiversity: many animals, birds and insects live where there are green plantings.
In April and May, our branches in Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Saratov, Cherepovets, Tver and Tyumen held eco-events to plant trees and shrubs. Young saplings of spruce, apple, pine and fir trees, as well as lilac bushes, now grow near schools, kindergartens, parks, squares and on city streets.
In June, other Vostok-Service branches and factories also joined the environmental campaign.
Employees of the Omsk branch, together with the company «Полиом», landscaped one of the city's streets. We eagerly await the day when the young saplings will grow into mature trees and delight everyone passing by.
Thanks to the employees of our Nizhny Novgorod branch, 12 ornamental apple trees will grow on Krasnye Zori Street in the town of Vyksa. Next spring we will be able to enjoy their blossoms and fragrance.
On June 23, employees of the Krasnoyarsk branch will plant apple trees on the grounds of Secondary School No. 143 named after Hero of the Soviet Union A.V. Timoshenko.
And near the «Рабочий Стиль» shoe factory, the young cherry trees planted in the company's 30th anniversary year are already bearing fruit: their branches are strewn with reddening berries.
