This past weekend, the Vostok-Service outdoor gathering took place near Tver, dedicated to the company's 30th anniversary. About 1500 people participated; the youngest attendee was only 3.5 months old, and the oldest was just under 76 years.
Employees from branches in Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of partner companies, attended the gathering, making the event truly international.
The Vostok-Service gathering became a genuine festival of cultures, traditions and national color from the many Russian regions where the company operates. In 10 themed tents, each organized by a different group of branches, visitors could learn about the history and features of the regions, discover traditional crafts, taste delicious national dishes, and take part in games, competitions and master classes.
Participants painted pictures with real charcoal, decorated clay toys, tried their hand as prospectors, sang and danced with real Cossacks, struck coins, sampled herbal teas and honey, tasted intricate pickles and sweets, cooked pilaf, and played volleyball and football.
This format for the anniversary corporate event was chosen deliberately: the company places great emphasis on employees' healthy lifestyles and implements several environmental programs aimed at protecting nature and the environment. The outdoor gathering perfectly reflects this company philosophy.
The three days of the gathering flew by. During that time, people who had not known each other personally got acquainted and bonded, old friends reunited after a long break, and many made new contacts across different regions. Everyone had abundant opportunities to socialize — the event brought together different generations within the company: its founders, top managers, young leaders and recently hired specialists.
According to participants, the main impression and the most vivid emotion from the gathering was the feeling of a large family called Vostok-Service — the scale, strength and potential of a big company where like-minded people work, always ready to help and support each other and to accomplish together any task, however challenging, yet noble and beneficial to people.
