The range at «Vostok-Service» includes products insulated with Shelter® Micro. Shelter® Micro is designed for extremely cold climatic conditions.
The material consists of ultrafine fibers. As the fiber diameter decreases, the total surface area of fibers that trap air per unit volume increases significantly. Thus, the very densely concentrated and interlocked fibers of the insulation excellently retain air, creating a barrier against heat loss from the space under the clothing and the ingress of cold from outside.
Properties
- High hydrophobicity (liquid-repellent capability): thermal insulating properties are maintained at high ambient humidity (moisture absorption less than 1%).
- Easy care: dries quickly after washing and does not shrink.
- Safe for health: the insulating materials are hypoallergenic and antibacterial (resistant to microbial action, do not accumulate dust).
- No fiber migration through the face fabric due to double-sided calendering (fusing of the insulation's surface fibers) утеплителя. This thermomechanical treatment evens and densifies the surface of the insulating material.
