Flame-Resistant Finish

Fire-retardant finishing ― a technology for imparting durable flame-retardant properties to natural cotton fabrics. Polymer molecules penetrate the cotton fibers and become an integral part of the fabric: they do not wash out or come off the fabric during the product's use.

Process for applying the fire-retardant finish:

  1. The fabric is treated with a solution containing molecules of a fire-retardant polymer that penetrate into the core of the hollow cotton fiber.
  2. When exposed to gaseous ammonia, the polymer is dried and fixed in the fiber.
  3. The fabric is rinsed and dried.

Samples of fabric from each batch are sent to an independent laboratory, where the fire-retardant properties are tested after 50 washes at 75 °С and drying cycles.

The finished product made from cotton fabric with a fire-retardant finish combines the comfort of natural cotton with durable fire-retardant properties.
