How it works
The space between down fibers is filled with air (which has low thermal conductivity), creating a barrier that prevents heat from escaping the microclimate next to the body and stops cold from penetrating from outside.

Care instructions
To preserve its properties, products with down fillings must be cared for properly. As a natural material, down cannot resist oily and water-based soiling on the same level as synthetic fillings and insulations, in particular secretions from the skin’s glands. In areas of heavy soiling, the down can mat — creating “cold” spots.
It is especially important to clean down-filled products after each season so that during off-season storage the item does not lose its properties due to microbial activity. If the care instructions for a specific item allow, the product can be washed at home, but it is better to consult specialists to minimize the risk of migration and uneven distribution of the filling after washing.
Applications
Down fillings are well suited for use in dry, frosty weather and in conditions of low air humidity.
