The Perm branch of the Vostok-Service Group took an active part in the federal competition that brought together the best welders from across Russia.
Thirty-eight welders from 34 regions of Russia participated in the federal stage of the competition. All of them passed preliminary selection at regional stages of the "Best in Profession" competition and various industry contests.
The winner of the All‑Russian "Best in Profession" competition in the "Welder" category was Ilya Ryuppiev from the Republic of Karelia. Second place went to Arsen Ramazanov from Volgograd Oblast. The bronze medalist was Vadim Lisin from Rostov Oblast. The winners were presented with awards by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, Anton Kotyakov, and the Governor of Perm Krai, Dmitry Makhonin.
To win the tests, finalists had to demonstrate their professionalism in both theoretical and practical parts. Each contestant completed a test covering knowledge of equipment, stages of technological processes, application of safety regulations and other topics essential to a welder’s work. In the practical part, contestants performed quality welding of several types of seams against the clock. The commission evaluated their work not only visually but also using physical control methods: ultrasonic and radiographic inspection. Contestants also took part in an engaging business game organized by Vostok-Service, competing on topics such as the history of welding, rules for selecting PPE, industrial safety at production sites, and more.
The Perm branch of the Vostok-Service Group served as an information partner of the competition, and company representatives acted as safety experts.
Our company presented an exhibition stand with the "Comprehensive Welder Protection" display, where managers spoke about product features, selection rules and operation.
Also, a teleconference with experts was organized as part of the event, where top welders tested various equipment at one of Perm’s training centers using personal protective equipment produced by Vostok-Service — welding helmets "Zeus Profi", "Zeus-3" suits and "Zeus" welding gauntlets. Experts monitored the process on screens and provided consultations. After completing the tasks, the welders shared their impressions of using the protective equipment. The teleconference was exciting and spectacular, leaving many positive emotions for all participants.
Representatives of the Vostok-Service Group were presented with letters of appreciation for their assistance in organizing and conducting the competition.
