With the arrival of spring the animals' daily routines gradually change, so in April the Moscow Zoo switched to summer opening hours – from 8.00 to 19.00. It's a great opportunity to meet our residents: the charming red pandas Zeyn and Ryzhik and the three-banded armadillos Boris and Grelka.
Since 2014 Vostok-Service Group, together with partners, has been participating in a program to sponsor animals from various zoos across our country. The essence of the project – providing free assistance to members of the fauna classified as rare and on the verge of extinction.
We sponsor two three-banded armadillos jointly with the British company JSP. The partners specialize in the design and manufacture of helmets. The armadillos were chosen deliberately: nature has endowed these animals with built-in "protection mechanisms." This is the only species of armadillo that can roll into a tight armored ball when threatened, resembling a helmet. That is how the three-banded armadillo got its name.
