During the tick-active season (from spring through autumn), protection against bites is essential: these insects can transmit dangerous diseases such as tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme disease.
According to Rospotrebnadzor statistics, since the start of the tick activity season in Russia more than 84 thousand people have sought medical help due to tick bites:
- Bites have been recorded in at least 64 regions of the country.
- 49 federal subjects have been included in the list of regions with increased risk of tick-borne encephalitis.
- The number of ticks has increased by 3 times over the past 10-15 years.
Everyone who visits tick habitats is at risk of being bitten. Infection with tick-borne encephalitis occurs regardless of age, sex, etc. The incubation period of the disease lasts 10-14 days, after which the illness begins suddenly and symptoms appear: headache, chills, fever up to 39 degrees and others.
The anti-encephalitis suit «Expedition Lux» has been approved by specialists of the Institute of Disinfectology of FBUN «F.F. Erisman Federal Research Centre for Hygiene» of Rospotrebnadzor and provides 100% protection against tick bites and blood-sucking insects when used correctly. It is specially designed taking into account the behavior of these insects and reliably blocks all possible routes of entry to the skin.
