Battery collection for recycling

This is of great importance for the protection of the environment, human health, and the rational use of resources.

Batteries contain heavy metals and other toxic substances such as lead, cadmium, nickel, lithium, zinc and manganese. When disposed of in a landfill, the battery casing deteriorates under atmospheric exposure, and these substances enter the soil, groundwater and surface waters. A single battery can contaminate up to 20 m² of soil and about 400 liters of water with heavy metals.

Battery recycling allows extraction of valuable materials that are then reused in industry. They yield copper and zinc powders, manganese dioxide, ferrous scrap, graphite and other substances. These materials are used in metallurgy, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals and other industries.

One of the key focus areas of the Vostok-Service Group is environmental protection. Our company employs people who take a conscious approach to caring for nature and understand the importance of collecting batteries for recycling.

In the offices, shops and factories of the Vostok-Service Group there are special collection boxes for used batteries. As they accumulate, we hand them over to the EcoTaxi recyclable materials pick-up service for safe transport and recycling. Employees, partners and clients of the company actively use the opportunity to dispose of waste correctly. Last time we delivered 150 kg of batteries for recycling.

We thank all participants in the eco-program. Join us!
