Follow these recommendations:
- Prepare garments properly for storage. Washing/dry cleaning, drying, and repair are mandatory steps. Depending on the type of garments, disinfection, degassing, decontamination, etc. may also be required.
- Follow the manufacturer's specific care instructions for the clothing — the symbols on the permanent labels. The information on them remains even after multiple washes.
- Store new and used garments separately from each other.
- Isolate special-purpose items from workwear that provides protection against hazardous chemical agents.
- Store workwear in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area. Do not allow exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, or extreme temperatures.
- Place racks for workwear at least 1 m away from heating appliances. The distance to walls and other objects should be at least 20 cm.
