- Prepare garments properly for storage. Washing/dry-cleaning, drying, and repair are mandatory steps. Depending on the type of garments, additional measures such as disinfection, degassing, deactivation, etc., may be required.
- Follow the manufacturer's specific care instructions — the symbols on the permanent labels. The information on them remains even after multiple washes.
- Store new and used garments separately from each other.
- Isolate special-purpose items from workwear that provides protection against OPZ.
- Store workwear in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, and extreme temperatures.
