In the Vostok-Service stores and offices, employees, partners and customers can drop off batteries and plastic caps, and we will send them for recycling once the containers are full.
One of Vostok-Service Group’s key areas of work is caring for the environment. Our company employs people who take a conscious approach to caring for nature and understand the importance of collecting batteries and plastic caps and plastic caps for recycling.
Special collection boxes for used batteries and plastic caps are installed in the offices, stores and factories of the Vostok-Service Group. As they fill up, we hand them over to the EcoTaxi recyclables collection service for safe transport and processing. Employees, partners and customers actively use the opportunity to dispose of waste properly.
Batteries are one of the most hazardous household wastes, as power cells contain nickel, lithium, manganese, lead, cadmium, mercury and other harmful substances. According to current legislation, batteries belong to hazardous waste of class II, containing various toxic substances — they must not simply be thrown into the bin. This is indicated by the crossed-out trash bin symbol.
Plastic is a material that can take up to 1,000 years to decompose and can be highly toxic. Recycling helps prevent contamination of water, soil and air by harmful substances.
Caps are collected separately from bottles, and for good reason: caps are made from polypropylene (PP), bottles from polyethylene terephthalate (PET E). Because they are made of different materials, they are processed by different methods and sent to different recycling facilities. To simplify waste separation, it is recommended to collect and hand in caps separately.
In our retail stores, anyone can leave batteries and plastic caps in the transparent boxes for subsequent recycling.
