One of the key areas of Vostok-Service Group's work is caring for the environment. Our company employs people who take a conscious approach to environmental protection and understand the importance of collecting batteries for recycling.

In the offices, stores and factories of Vostok-Service Group there are special collection boxes for used batteries. As they fill up, we hand them over to the EcoTaxi recyclable waste removal service for safe transport and processing. Employees, partners and clients of the company actively use the opportunity to dispose of waste correctly.

Batteries are one of the most dangerous household wastes because cells contain nickel, lithium, manganese, lead, cadmium, mercury and other harmful substances. According to current legislation, batteries are classified as Class II hazardous waste that contain various toxic substances — they cannot simply be thrown into a bin. This is indicated by the crossed-out trash can symbol.

A single AA battery takes 36 525 days, or 100 years, to decompose in the ground and can contaminate about 20 m2 of soil and 400 L of water.

The full recycling cycle for 1 battery is 4 days. To avoid harming the environment, it is enough to hand in batteries to designated collection points.

In our retail stores, anyone can leave batteries in the transparent boxes for subsequent recycling.
