In the vast realm of birds there are truly special creatures, noble and graceful — cranes. But many of their species today, for various reasons, are on the brink of extinction.

Last year the Vostok-Service Group of Companies took under its care representatives of one crane species — the Daurian cranes living in the Moscow Zoo, where favorable living conditions have been created for them, including in winter. With the arrival of spring the cranes increasingly go out into the aviary for walks, where they can be seen.

The Daurian crane is a rare species native to East Asia (global population - approximately 4,900–5,300 individuals). It is protected by international and national legislation.

In Russia the crane has always been revered as a symbol of the Motherland, loyalty, wisdom, health, happiness and longevity — values that have always been important to our company. That is why we chose this proud and beautiful bird to take under our care.

We are pleased to report that in 2023 the Daurian crane was also taken under care in many other cities across the country — branches of the Vostok-Service Group of Companies in Vladivostok, Chelyabinsk, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg and Ryazan joined the project, as evidenced by the plaques on the aviaries in local zoos and nature reserves where the birds are housed.

We hope that our contribution to the conservation of this species will help increase the Daurian crane population and preserve them for future generations.
